ORGASMIC EXPERIENCES around food and cocktails The beauty of  cigars and rum pairing never stops been amazing they always grow to be exceptional. This year with an array of more and more releases of rum i just to had to go through the journey of rums that could go down well with the amazing arrays of cigars across the world. Sometime back having tasted some impressive cigars here are my thoughts on it.Alec bradley Connecticut cigar torpedo has notes of  milders smoke ,with tastes of cream ,tea ,orange and woody finish . This cigar works well with  aged rhums from Guadeloupe that does share alot of the notes of herbal but with body. Alec bradley is a mild bodied cigar from Honduras however its wrapper come from a tiny community of hardworking folk in Ecuador . The Alec bradley goes well with plantation oftd ,real maccoy 12 years and rhum barbancourt 15 years When reviewing its body and complexity i would give it an 8/10 and for its price at around 9 dollars a

Under The Influence of Stigmatization and Polarization

Behold the hospitality and service industry often beloved by guests but the story beneath is often untold.   We all love good food and service however we often forget that this industry what is more important is user experience. To those that are in the industry be it the chefs, waiters, bartenders  ,barbacks all of you are my family. I know and understand what you go through as I go through it everyday. In Africa the experience in two fold what am I talking about ,am talking about culture and passion. Hospitality Cul ture It is a shame to see that though we have great restaurants and hotels often built on western concepts combining with African ideology that is not enough. The stigmatization for those that want to enter this industry is real in all facets. Take an example of the conservative African folks who still believe in big jobs of 8 to 5 .You know those jobs lawyers, doctors ,professors etc we all know them that is what they consider as good honest jobs. However talk to the

2018 :Africa's Hospitality Report. The surgence of the industry in africa is great to watch it take its pace event though it is slow the progress is encouraging. This below is perhaps what we need to look forward to. Spirits production on the rise  As the consumers get more and more spending power it has seen the spirits industry generate and produce craft spirits.Gin ,grappa and brandy are making a major come back with local producers highlighting regional influences . If you observe the top African countries we have seen craft gin in south africa that is leading the park of craft gin that is exceptional.Taking a tour to Triple three and wilderer distillery and observing the production is quite fascinating. While this is encouraging the market demand of luxury whisky has been the most competitive market leaving local whisky production in very small numbers .Perhaps this is explained by the focus on marketing strategies that are plied by international suppliers in th

THE GIN CRAZE IN AFRICA

CRAFT DISTILLING AND EXCEPTIONAL PRODUCE While i have never big fan of gin i have to say a great gin martini or gin tonic brings to the front the difference between awful gin and exceptional gin.Gin for some reason takes  you to a place of dreams and what stood out for me mostly about gin was how different botanicals seek to bring into front the difficult balance and taste of gin. A couple of weeks ago i had the opportunity to interact with gin from South Africa that is exceptional in taste and that appeals to the masses. The said gin is Triple Three Gin which is a handcrafted gin from the Stellenbosch region. The distillery is blessed enough to produce three gin variants for the market . The first in the variant is the bold and 100% juniper berry gin .this is by far there more assertive gin in highlighting gin in its traditional state that is ultimately great for you drinking pleasure. Description The ripe juniper berries used for this gin boast a broad array
